Train the Trainer: What the delegates said

(March 11, 2013)

Last week we ran our 2-day Train the Trainer workshop for a group of managers at Aldermore Bank. They were a pleasure to work with, and threw themselves into the event with enthusiasm despite some of them feeling a little nervous about 'being trainers'.

It is intended that these managers can go away and deliver bite-size training to their teams on a range of topics so the business can be more responsive to the needs of the people. By having 'local' trainers in place, training no longer has to be organised and rolled out from the centre, meaning that different business areas can have different training at different times. To do this, Aldermore have purchased the full suite of Power Hour bite-size training sessions and plan to develop a technical suite in-house to compliment these.

Here's what the delegates had to say about the Train the Trainer event:

"The variety of activities helped me to gain greater understanding and retention of the subject"

"The practical work was challenging but actually delivering the training really helped"

"The mix of learning activities for different styles of learning was really helpful"

"It took me slightly out of my comfort zone and gave me more confidence"

"Well run, informal atmosphere taiored to different types of people"

"Practise at conducting a real training session was invaluable"

"The feedback session that we delivered taught me tons!"
